9 Oct 2013: After more than 15 years of defending itself against what it considered unlawfully punitive fines and an unsubstantiated guilty verdict by the court that found it co-responsible for the collapse of the Heathrow Express railway station excavations in 1994, Geoconsult has made settlement with the UK courts. Prof Johann Golser, Chairman and Co-founder of the company, explains the history of the firm and its ambitions now that the case is settled. "We stood against the court judgement for many years," said Golser. "The intention now is to put this behind us and continue to bring first class geotechnical engineering to the international tunnelling industry."
