Factory acceptance of Follo Line TBM

June 08, 2016: Four 9.9m diameter double shield Herrenknecht TBMs are procured by the Acciona/Ghella Joint Venture to excavate the Follo Line high-speed railway tunnel between Oslo and Ski in Norway. With two machines on site and in assembly, and with the third in preparation for shipment and the last factory tested and accepted at the Herrenknecht factory, all four are scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2016, with the last machine breakthrough scheduled for the end of 2018.
