Black & Veatch expands water services in China Jan 2010
- The Shenzhen operation of international consulting practice Black & Veatch is to double in size to meet the needs of municipal water clients in the south-east region of China. At the opening of its new, expanded office in Shenzhen, Alan Man, Vice President and Managing Director of Black & Veatch's North Asia Pacific water business explained that "we plan to increase the number of professionals in our Shenzhen office significantly over the coming two years to ensure that we enhance our water service offerings locally, in Hong Kong and globally."
- Black & Veatch has been working in China since 1979. In addition to its Shenzhen office, the company has a large presence in Beijing, as well as four project offices around PR China. The company's projects are helping municipal utility companies to improve water supplies and wastewater management for millions of people.
- "The Black & Veatch Shenzhen office was first established to support our water business in Hong Kong," said TAN Seng Chai, Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific water business operations. "We have now built up a baseload of work from clients in Shenzhen and will also bring global projects for our Shenzhen professionals to work on."
