New DC Metro office for Shannon & Wilson 23 Sept 2015

USA-based geotechnical and engineering company Shannon & Wilson announces the recent opening of a new Washington DC Metro office.

This is the company’s twelfth office, and allows it to better serve clients throughout the Northeastern USA region in addition to its already established offices in St Louis, Missouri, and Jacksonville, Florida.

The new Washington DC Metro office will be overseen by Dr Axel Nitschke, the newly appointed Vice President and Director of Operations for Underground Services. The expansion is part of a strategic move to widen Shannon & Wilson’s national underground services portfolio. From this new location, Shannon & Wilson will offer a full spectrum of geotechnical and underground services, and Dr. Nitschke will take an active role in strengthening the company presence in the Northeastern corridor.

The company employs more than 300 geotechnical engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists and environmental personnel, enabling it to provide services in the fields of geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting. It specializes in geotechnical engineering, geologic investigations, environmental studies, wetlands, permitting, ESA analyses, stream protections and restoration, sedimentation and erosion control, shore protection, hydraulic engineering and hydrogeologic investigations.
