USA geotechnical services company Hayward Baker, a company of the global Keller group, has acquired fellow US geotechnical contractor Moretrench. The acquisition adds the Moretrench expertise in ground freezing and dewatering to the geotechnical services offered by Hayward Baker.
Moretrench will operate as a division within Hayward Baker to expand its range of services which include foundation support, settlement control, ground improvement, slope stabilization, underpinning, excavation shoring, earth retention, seismic/liquefaction mitigation, groundwater control, and environmental remediation.
In a statement announcing the acquition, the enlarged entity is reported as being positioned for the expected long run renewal of infrastructure in North America.
Both Hayward Baker and Moretrench have a strong presence in the tunneling and underground construction industry and each has worked on major subway and other tunnel projects across North America. With each company contributing particular areas of expertise, and sharing others, together they will provide a wide range of underground construction services to clients.
