Breakers assist in underground demolition 18 Oct 2018

Brokk News Release

To further assist excavation in hard rock and in confined spaces, Swedish manufacturer of demolition robots, Brokk, has introduced a new range of hydraulic breakers. The new range of eight Brokk Hydraulic Breaker (BHB) models has been designed to complement the Brokk range of demolition robots.

“As experts in the industry for compact demolition, it makes sense for us to now take the step to introduce our own line-up of powerful hydraulic breakers to match the power and performance of our unique demolition robots,” said Martin Krupicka, President and CEO of Brokk Group.

The range boasts the 50kg light BHB55 breaker for the compact Brokk60 demolition robot, and then goes up to the 700kg heavy and powerful BHB705 for the recently introduced Brokk500 and Brokk520D demolition robots.

A key feature is their power-to-weight performance. The breakers are lightweight and compact, yet powerful like heavier breakers from other brands.

As the demolition robots and breakers are designed to work together, Brokk now has the ability to deliver even more demolition performance from the Brokk machines.

The first breakers from the BHB series were introduced together with the all-new Brokk 170, Brokk 200 and Brokk 300 demolition robots earlier this year.
