President and CEO of Normet, Robin Lindahl, has decided to leave Normet and join wealth management, financial services and renewable energy business Taaleri plc of Finland. With his departure date set for 1 August 2019 at the latest, the search for a new President and CEO for Normet has already started. Lindahl will actively support in transfer of his duties over the coming months.
In the meantime, the Normet Board of Directors has nominated Aaro Cantell as the interim CEO from 1 April 2019. The intention is that Cantell will hold the position until a new permanent CEO is chosen and joins Normet. Lindahl, as current President and CEO, will step down on the same date and support the handover as needed during April.
“It has been a pleasure leading Normet as CEO during the last three years,” said Lindahl. “I will miss mostly the great team and the skilled colleagues at Normet and I will be doing my utmost to support the team over the coming months.”
Recently Lindahl presented a donation to the Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Finland for the higher education of professional mechanical engineers.
Cantell, as Chairman of the Normet Group, thanked Lindahl for his good work at Normet “particularly in building a strong and highly professional leadership team that has the capability to take the company to the next level in the coming years. During Lindahl’s leadership Normet sales have grown from €200 million to more than €300 million with improved profitability. I am confident we will find a good successor to continue the positive development of Normet. We have a strong management team in place, which will continue to drive the business forward.”
