Equipment partnership for French African market 20 Apr 2017

A business partnership has been established between Normet and Aramine for the distribution of equipment and after-market products, services and support in the French speaking countries of Africa. The partnership agreement adds utility vehicles for underground tunneling to Aramine’s operations in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Chad, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

Aramine is presenting a wider range of equipment to its underground construction operators and Normet is keen to offer its brand of equipment and products to new underground customers in this emerging territory. "The partnership strengthens our offering to the underground construction markets in these countries and augments our value proposition in the region," said Janne Lehto, Region Vice President for Normet in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This is not the first time the two companies have collaborated. Aramine previously represented the brand and helped establish a Normet presence in the territory. “When the opportunity presented itself to rekindle a relationship with a world-class supplier of underground utility equipment, we thought immediately of Normet,” said Marc Melkonian, Co-President of Aramine.

“Through discussions, it became apparent that this is a good three-way fit, with Aramine and Normet and our mutual customers in French Africa,” said Bruno Chivee, Normet’s territory Sales Manager. A training program of Normet equipment for Aramine technical teams is scheduled.
