Australian founded MST Global has entered into an agreement to acquire MISOM Technologies, based in Tucson, Arizona, USA for an undisclosed fee.
The move will help MST to increase its digital capabilities as MISOM is known for its digital flagship solution, FARA, a field analysis and reporting application which tracks personnel and vehicles and monitors them remotely and digitally to increase safety and productivity underground.
“The acquisition aligns with our strategy of bringing digitisation and IoT to underground construction and will help MST to provide customers with better operational intelligence capabilities. FARA uses off-the-shelf smart devices to create a configurable mobile platform,” said Haydn Roberts, MST Global Chief Executive Officer.
The MISOM product suite will complement MST's IMPACT network product which uses an underground digital network to enable the use of a number of IP based ethernet and wi-fi applications and devices and FUSION, which is an in-vehicle radio that can use the underground wifi network or the UHF or VHF radio system for communication.
