Global engineering and management firm Mott MacDonald is building on its 60-year history in Canada by adding new office locations in Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver in addition to its head office in Toronto.
The expansion comes seven months after Hatch and Mott MacDonald split their joint venture, with Hatch taking control of the Canadian business and Mott MacDonald taking control of the US business.
Chris Mealing, Mott MacDonald Managing Director for Canada, said, “I’m delighted to be part of a passionate and committed team here in Canada. We are adding strong teams for rail and transit, tunneling, highways and bridges, and pipeline projects to join our existing practices in buildings and infrastructure finance and advisory services. We look forward to providing fully integrated services to an even wider range of clients in the power and oil and gas sectors.”
Nick DeNichilo, President and CEO of Mott MacDonald in North America, said, “I am confident that we will continue to build on our reputation of service in Canada, drawing on the wide range of expertise and experience from across our North American and global operations to support our clients.”
Mott MacDonald, which advised on transactions worth more than US$31 billion in 2015, has contributed to many of Canada’s most recognized projects, including the John Hart Hydro Generating Station P3 and some of western Canada’s most challenging tunnel projects for water, pipelines, and transit; and recent light rail transit projects in cities across Canada.
