DSI Underground SMART adds Edvirt to its portfolio 04 Mar 2021

DSI Underground SMART, a wholly owned subsidiary of DSI Underground has increased its investment in vehicle safety and innovation underground by acquiring 100% of Swedish training and virtual reality company Edvirt.

From its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, Edvirt provides virtual reality products and training for underground projects worldwide. It will develop new services for DSI Underground SMART but will also continue to operate as a standalone company and serve its international customer base.

As Sandvik previously signed an agreement to acquire DSI Underground, DSI Underground SMART and Edvirt will become part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. The transaction is expected to complete by mid-2021 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
