To increase safety and provide better lighting conditions in tunnels the Tunnel Lighting Adressable Control System (TLACS) was developed by Nyx Hemera. Now a new version of the system is being introduced for underpasses and short tunnels in North America and Europe.
The new version of this adaptive lighting control system for tunnels has been developed to help operators allow real time dimming and monitoring.
Named TLACS-U, the new system will allow operators to control the lighting, increasing safety and comfort, and increase energy savings and optimum maintenance.
The TLACS-U includes a UDE (Underpass Dimming Enclosure), a pre-configured plug and play intelligent controller packaged in a rugged cabinet for short tunnel applications and underpasses. This replaces the previous LCC used in longer tunnels and can be installed by any electrical contractor. TLACS-U is compatible with LCAM and ILCAM sensors and the latest power line local controller, the LPC 480.
The new version is available in a power line version that communicates over the underpass power distribution or lighting network or as a wired version.
“Operators want to be able to control LED luminaires in underpasses and short tunnels and the new TLACS-U is pre-configured, easy to operate and commission. We are pleased to provide a solution adapted to the operators needs in the era of smart cities’” said Pierre Longtin, President of Nyx Hemera Technologies.
