To mark its 30th anniversary, a group of employees will run a 45km relay race from the company production site at l’Ile Bouchard to its headquarters at Saint-Avertin. The race will be followed by a social event with an address by CEO Didier Lefebvre on the history of the company and its international trading successes.

Also in celebration of its anniversary, CBE Group will organize two further events during the year, one for its agents and the other for its customers, during the AFTES (French Association of Tunnelling and Underground Space) convention in November 2017 in Paris which gathers tunnel industry professionals from France and worldwide.

When it was created in 1987, the CBE Group specialised in the engineering and manufacturing of steel moulds, precast factories and maintenance equipment for production of precast concrete tunnel lining segments. It has provided moulds and factory equipment for precast tunnel linings to many international projects including subways in Lisbon, Budapest, Moscow, Cairo and Sydney. It has become a leader in its sector of activity.

In 2009, the group opened a plant in Yangling, China, and in 2010 the company bought ACIMEX, a company that specialises in lifting heavy loads using vacuum technology. In 2013, it created APS (Advanced Precast Systems), to diversify its offering in terms of concrete precast moulds and today has a worldwide presence with recent projects including the Follo Line railway tunnel project in Norway, the Quito subway in Ecuador and the Shanghai subway in China.
