Ongoing commitment to health and safety at Fugro GeoServices Ltd has been recognised with a gold medal in this year’s RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) awards. Gold medals are awarded in recognition of consistent year-on-year success in gaining gold awards in RoSPA’s achievement category. This is the eighth consecutive year that Fugro GeoServices has been merited with a gold award, leading to its recommendation by the RoSPA awards adjudication panel for gold medal status.
The judging panel comprises eminent professionals and experts in occupational health and safety from both public and commercial sectors, and academia. Part of Fugro, a global leader in geo-intelligence and asset integrity solutions, the company was assessed on key areas of occupational health and safety performance including accident, ill health and enforcement data, and evidence of a good health and safety management system.
According to RoSPA, gold award winners have achieved “a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.”
“This award should be seen as a fantastic achievement. It has been made possible by commitment throughout the business and the Fugro Group to focus on health and safety and to continually strive for improvement" said Steve Dadd, HSSE (Health Safety Security Environment) Manager at Fugro GeoServices.
With more than 500 staff based in four UK offices, Fugro GeoServices, specialists in marine geophysics and seafloor mapping, provides ground investigation and asset integrity solutions on land and over water for energy, transport and other infrastructure clients.
