Friends, family and tunnelling colleagues gathered in Toronto, Canada to celebrate Richard Lovat's 80th birthday. An industry maverick, Richard dedicated his working life to designing his own brand of tunneling machines to advance the safety and overall working conditions underground. LOVAT marked the milestone with a 30-page tribute to Richard that included personal messages from customers and clients the world over who have benefited from the company's technical expertise.
