The nemesis of underground and tunnelling works again looms large. At Lake Mead water inflows continue to work against efforts to complete the TBM starter tunnel while in Brisbane, inundation of the Airport Link tunnel works was averted as Queensland's flood deluge hit the city. Efforts are so cruelly set aside by force majeure and underestimation.
