Transportation projects took a major leap forward this week with secured funding announcements for the Brenner Base Tunnel in Europe and the California high-speed railway in the United States. This has catapulted both from planning and design into construction procurement reality. Another major change was recorded this week with confirmation that the LOVAT TBM name is to disappear after being part of the tunnelling scene for generations. All things move on.
