Deep underground structures are becoming more ambitious with prequalifiers for the world's longest and deepest undersea road tunnel currently being evaluated and ever deeper metro stations being planned. Do deep underwater links present more or less risk than deep passes under high overburdens and are deep urban structures reaching limits?
