Adopting the Alliance concept of contracting, as developed in Australia, could be a wise move for completing the stalled hydro headrace contract in Austria. The concept, developed and used for the Northside wastewater interceptor and storage tunnel project in Sydney in the late 1990s, avoided termination of contract and saved the project, the contract and the needed connection between client and contractor on more than one occasion, as explained in the TunnelTalk Archive articles from 1999 and 2002. |
