From the Editor's Desk - 06 Jun 2019
The Emisor Oriente project in Mexico City was a 62km long, 10 year epic with six TBMs and their crews persevering through extreme geological conditions that caused delays and downtimes for machine repairs and upgrades. Despite the challenges, project authorities, contractors, crews and machine suppliers remained committed to getting the job done. This collective commitment is perhaps the most important part of leaving no tunnelling job unfinished.
