It was a total surprise, even to the winners, that a tunnelling entry should take Best Project for a concrete society award. Set against other stunning
concrete structures and buildings, a tunnel seemed an unlikely winner, but there it is. The SFRC concrete inner lining of the Lee CSO tunnel and
shafts project in the UK is the first ever tunnel to take the top spot. Congratulations to all involved!
